As highlighted in a recent Chronicle post, Bernadette brings a wealth of experience and insight to this post. Dr. Sanchez has paid particular attention to the mentoring in the lives of Latino adolescents and the role they play in the educational achievement. She has published extensively on the role of cultural processes in volunteer mentoring relationships, particularly in the context of natural mentoring as well as mentoring across different races, ethnicities, or cultures.
