Short Course: “INNOVATIONS IN MENTORING FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION” lead by prof. dr. Jean Rhodes

The European and UMB/MENTOR Centers for Evidence-Based Mentoring organize a Mentoring Short Course on the 7th and 8th of October 2019, in Leeuwarden, NL. It is the third Short Course the two centers organize together, connecting state-of-the-art research results and innovative practices in the field of mentoring. This years edition will focus on innovations in mentoring for social inclusion.
The Short Course will offer the chance to meet leading experts from Europe and the US to discuss programme models as well as challenges and innovative solutions. During the two-day event, scholars and practitioners together will talk about a variety of new innovations in the field, like mentoring and prevention science, cultural competences and the integration of youth initiated mentoring in education.
The Short Course will include keynotes, presentations and working sessions. Participants will learn how to enhance empowering relationships to promote social inclusion and an inclusive society.

Directions to come to Leeuwarden from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport using public transport, or travelling by car:
Public Transport: You can plan your travel from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Leeuwarden via 9292. Please double check for changes 10 days before the arrival date and in the morning of the travel day. To certain times, there is a direct (Intercity) train connection between the airport and Leeuwarden.
Travel by Car: There is also the possibility to rent a car at Amsterdam Schiphol, in case you prefer to take the car to Leeuwarden. There are a few car rental companies located directly behind Arrivals 3.
Parking in Leeuwarden: If you are travelling by car, you can park directly at the Stenden Hotel or NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Parking is
for event guests.

Accommodation
Stenden Hotel is in the same building as the short course, so you won’t have to travel far in the morning. The hotel is a 4-star Hotel in Leeuwarden and a great location for the short course. However, because of its location on the edge of the city center of Leeuwarden it is also great to discover the city.
There is only a limited number of rooms available, so act quick before they are all gone!

Registration Fees:
Non-members: 195 € / person
ECEBM Members: 150 € / person
To register to the event, you can email us your name and name of your organization. After registration, you will receive information about the payment through bank transfer.
