European Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring releases inaugural newsletter!

Written by Justin Preston

It is with great excitement that we share the news: Our friends and colleagues at the European Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring (ECEBM) have launched their inaugural newsletter! As part of the ongoing effort to expand the understanding and implementation of mentoring, the Boston-based Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring (CEBM) is partnering with practitioners, researchers, and students from across Europe in their efforts to expand our knowledge of the mentoring field.

The ongoing work at the ECEBM is led by Ms. Szilvia Simon, Community Mangaer at the European Center. Since its inception last year, the ECEBM has worked with students, researchers, and scholars around Europe and the United States in creating a knowledge- and experience-sharing community. Efforts include interviews with European scholars in the mentoring field, establishment of a comprehensive list of mentoring programs across the European continent, and supporting the work of exchange students learning more about mentoring in the United States.

Moving forward, the Chronicle will be featuring the work and research conducted through the ECEBM and sharing it with you, our readers. We are certainly looking forward to partnering with the ECEBM in continuing our mission of providing practitioners the world over with the latest in mentoring research, best practices, and evidence-based methods. Please keep an eye out for the exciting new developments that will be coming from ECEBM in the future, and in the meantime be sure to check out their first newsletter here!
