State Partnerships are at the core of mentoring’s infrastructure is a growing network of Mentoring Partnerships that MENTOR has helped to build and support.

Mentoring Partnerships serve a unique role as a clearinghouse for information and resources, providing the critical link between MENTOR’s national efforts and the local organizations that foster quality mentoring relationships. Each of these Mentoring Partnerships works with a wide range of programs to:

  • Increase the number of young people with mentors at the local level; Increase resources at the local level dedicated to mentoring;
  • Promote quality standards for mentoring programs; and
  • Expand mentoring programming and opportunities tailored to the needs and circumstances of young people.

By focusing on outreach, training, mentor referrals and advocacy, Mentoring Partnerships have developed solid, field-tested solutions to some of the mentoring movement’s greatest challenges.
