Big Brothers Big Sisters Announces new CEO

I am pleased to announce the arrival of the new President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada: Steve Jones.

Steve is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. In addition to careers at Apple Canada and ATCO Industries, Steve was Senior Vice-President, Corporate Relations at Siemens Canada, and President & CEO of Prostate Cancer Canada.

He has served on Boards of organizations such as JaysCare Foundation and Easter Seals, and was Chair of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.

And…he was President of Big Brothers of York Region in the early 90’s. In fact, Steve was both a Little Brother and a Big Brother. His relationship with his Big Brother “…changed my life, and I still think of the many things he taught me. I see this opportunity as coming ‘full circle’ in my life, and I am so proud to be the new President & CEO.”

Steve has led areas including Marketing/Communications, Strategic Planning, Government Relations, Human Resources, Sales, Fundraising, and Governance. He is well known for his branding expertise. He has created and implemented strategic communications/marketing strategies, ensuring organizations receive the greatest value while managing cost efficiencies.

Steve has written articles on subjects such as Trends in Human Resources, and has guest lectured (Marketing/Communications) at institutions such as Western University (London) and Duke University (North Carolina). He has also facilitated executive strategic planning sessions and taught sales account management across Canada.

Steve is the very proud father of two sons, and lives in downtown Toronto.
