Many youths from racially marginalized communities, especially those that have multiple risk factors (e.g. living in poverty and/or being involved in the criminal justice system) are less likely to have naturally-occurring mentoring relationships with non-parental figures.

This March, MENTOR will have a discussion on tackling systemic inequalities and strategies needed to promote positive educational, health, and career outcomes in opportunity youth.
