Urge your member of congress to help reduce chronic absenteeism!

Help us help MENTOR in letting Congress know that you support the CARES act today!

Schools should be places where young people go every day and find caring relationships, but that cannot happen if students are not provided the supports needed to show up every day. The bipartisan Chronic Absenteeism Reduction in Every School (CARES) Act offers evidence-based interventions to help connect students to the mentoring, health, transportation and other essential services they need to thrive.

Mentoring advocates know that relationship-centric supports can be the difference between a student feeling isolated or feeling like they belong. Funding programs that allow schools and mentoring programs to work together to provide these services is essential to ensuring that no student goes without the mentor they need.

As you consider what you can do to help a student show up for school, we ask that you send a message to Congress asking them to co-sponsor the CARES Act today.
