Upcoming international conference on mentoring youths facing adversity

‘Mentoring young people facing adversity: exploring the intersection of theory and practice through the perspectives of participants and stakeholders’. An international conference hosted by Foróige in conjunction with the Global Youth Mentoring Network.

Mentoring interventions for young people facing adversity in their lives are increasingly being recognized as a valuable preventative tool in the provision of youth services. This conference will explore how evidenced based mentoring interventions can strengthen the protective factors in young people’s lives, enabling them to cope with adversity. It will focus on the need to provide opportunities, through research and practice, to listen to the perspectives of young people and stakeholders and tailor the provision of services to meet their needs.
