Tell Congress to Support House-Passed Funding for Youth Mentoring!
Help us help MENTOR in letting Congress know you support higher funding for the OJJDP Youth Mentoring Grant!
Congress is moving forward on negotiating final funding levels for Fiscal Year 2020, including around proposed increases to the OJJDP Youth Mentoring Grant. The House and Senate have both advanced bills recommending $100 million and $97 million, respectively, both higher than the FY19 level of $95 million. This is great news!
We need your help convincing Congress to support the higher funding amount.
The Youth Mentoring Grant funds direct service mentoring programs in every state in the country and funds the National Mentoring Resource Center which supports programs with practice and free training and technical assistance services. Join us in calling on Congress to fund the Youth Mentoring Grant at the House-passed funding level of $100 million in their final FY20 funding bill.
