How you can help

The University of Virginia needs your help recruiting mentors and mentees from your organizations to take a survey.
The results of this study could help us understand what exactly about mentoring is beneficial for children.

What Do I Get for Participating in the Study?

Mentoring programs participating in this study can receive monetary compensation for each individual who completes a short survey.
Programs that provide 100 participants can receive up to $1000.

How Do I Learn More about the Study?

Purpose

Research tells us that mentoring helps youth.
We want to know what about mentoring is most beneficial.
This study is developing a measure to try to learn what specific parts of mentoring help youth.
We need your help to make this valuable and useful.

What Does Participating in the Study Require?

To be eligible persons include to be or have been a mentor of a child ages 10-18 for at least 3 months in the last two years or a mentee between the age of 10 and 18.

What Do I Get for Participating in the Study?

Mentoring programs participating in this program may receive
You will get a $10 gift card for use at a major store (e.g. Target, Best Buy) OR you can tell us to send $10 to your mentoring organization.
There is no limit on participants from one organization.
