Mentoring research tends to focus on the mentee, however, mentors are also influenced by their experiences in the mentoring relationship. To shed light on mentoring development, two short lectures will present two studies conducted mainly in the Israeli nationwide mentoring program, PERACH. The first study will use pre-post data to reveal mentors’ development. The second study will concentrate on the core ingredients that transform the experience into a meaningful life-long experience using interviews. A conclusion will highlight ways to support mentors to enhance mentoring success.
