December 2015 International Mentoring Conference in Cancun Mexico!
Dear friends, colleagues and mentoring activists, We always refer to time as flying, and truly it does, but it is still so amazing and almost unbelievable for us to note that Perach, Israel´s national mentoring project, is approaching this year its middle age – the 40th anniversary. On the other end of the world — in Peraj Mexico –, the second largest Perach program worldwide, is celebrating its 10th year of operation, with over 85 universities involved and thousands of students participating annually all across the country. To commemorate these two landmarks Peraj Mexico has taken upon itself to host an international mentoring conference on the topic of “Students as Agents for Social Change”. The conference will take place on 2 – 4 of December 2015 in Cancun, a resort town on the Yucatan peninsula, the ancient center of the famous Maya, who left after them some of the most fascinating archeological sites in the world (recognized as UNESCO world heritage), at the wonderful, all inclusive Fiesta Americana Condesa hotel. Due to its weather, its beautiful beaches, the famous sites and wonderful food and the variety of topics and speakers (among them the best known practitioners and researchers in the field) it promises to be a memorable event. As there are so many ‘not to miss’ places in Yucatan, there will be an additional day for those interested in an optional organized tour to visit some of these sites and the area. If you are interested in more details, timetable, call for papers and costs, please click here to let us know that you are willing to participate and/or receive further information. With the hope to have you with us in Mexico and with all the best of wishes, Amos Carmeli President Perach International Armando Jinich Founder and President Peraj Mexico |
