Several years ago a dear friend and mentor of mine died suddenly. I never got a chance to tell him how important he was to me. I am not alone. Many people never get around to thanking the people who made a major difference in their lives.

Walter Green is not one of them. He never has to worry about expressing gratitude to those who had an impact in his life. In 2010 Green traveled around the country on a “Journey of Gratitude” and thanked 44 men and women who gave him a helping hand at various stages of his life. He said he wanted to tell these men and women how much they mattered to him before anyone’s health or life was compromised and the opportunity slipped away. Green recounted his inspiring experiences in the book “This Is the Moment,” published by Hay House.

For 25 years Green was the Chairman and CEO of Harrison Conference Services, a leading conference center management company. Since selling his company, he has mentored young adults and is actively involved in several non-profit organizations. He lives with his wife Lola in San Diego.

Join me on Thursday, June 11 from 10:00-10:30 a.m. (PDT) as I talk to Walter Green about thanking the mentors in your life.
