How loud can we be as a mentoring movement?…very loud if we all join forces for National Mentoring Month! The Collaborative Mentoring Webinar Series is committed to helping programs prepare to participate in National Mentoring Month, which occurs in January. Join this webinar to learn how your involvement can raise awareness and resources not just for your program, but for mentoring programs throughout the country. Phyllis Jordan, communications director for Attendance Works, will dive into the elements of an effective public awareness campaign and share successful examples. MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership’s director of marketing and communications, Diane Quest, and director of government relations Abbie Evans, will walk through the 2015 National Mentoring Month resources and tools. And Benji Thurber, communications manager at Vermont’s Mentoring Partnership, and Susie Merrick, the coordinator for the Burlington (VT) School District Mentoring Program will bring the local perspective and a “how-to” overview for implementing a successful local campaign.
