Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring to Present at National Mentoring Summit
We’re excited to share that our team at The Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring will be presenting at the upcoming National Mentoring Summit in Washington D.C. on February 5, 2026, sharing insights from its ongoing research on innovative mentoring approaches for youth in alternative education settings. The workshop, titled “Implementing an Anchor and Web Mentoring Model to Support Youth Development in Alternative Education Programs,” highlights an innovative, multi-layered approach to mentoring designed to expand young people’s access to social capital.
The workshop, featuring the Center’s Megyn Jasman, MA, and Kyle Mann of the Keystone State ChalleNGe Academy, will explore how multi-layered mentoring models can expand youth access to social capital in alternative education settings, drawing on work developed in partnership with MentorPRO and the Keystone State ChalleNGe Academy (KSCA). Serving youth ages 16–18 who have struggled in traditional school environments, KSCA has implemented a 360-degree mentoring approach that pairs anchor mentors—consistent, trusted adults providing long-term guidance—with web or flash mentors, high–social capital individuals offering timely, goal-specific support. Drawing on early implementation findings and evaluation data, the session will examine how this model supports relationship-building, opportunity navigation, and sustained progress during the transition to adulthood.
By sharing this work at the National Mentoring Summit, the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring continues its commitment to advancing research, practice, and partnerships that strengthen mentoring programs and improve outcomes for young people. We hope to see you there!
